Terms of service
Plain terms for a product whose whole argument is that claims should be checkable. Where a clause states a number or a rule, that number is the one the software enforces.
Not in force yet
This document is complete except for the name of the operating entity and the governing jurisdiction, which are not part of the software and have to be supplied by whoever operates this service. Until they are, this page is not published in the sitemap, is not indexed, and does not bind anyone. Everything below describes what the system actually does today.
What this service is
We inspect a website against a published catalogue of rules and return findings, each with the evidence it was derived from, a stated confidence, a fix, and a test you can run yourself to confirm the fix worked. We do not promise rankings, traffic or positions, and we never will: nobody controls those, and a service that promised them would be selling something it cannot deliver.
What you may ask us to audit
Only a site you own or are authorised to audit. Every crawl identifies itself, honours robots.txt, and stops when a site refuses us. If you are the owner of a site and want it never fetched again, write to us and it is on a permanent blocklist within one business day — no account required, and the block applies to the crawler itself rather than to a setting somebody could forget.
Credits, and what one buys
One credit buys one audit: up to 50 URLs, of which up to 15 are loaded in a real browser for rendering and performance measurement. Credits do not expire. A credit is spent when the audit is queued, which is what stops one credit queueing a thousand crawls.
Refunds
If an audit does not produce a report, the credit comes back automatically — whatever the cause: our outage, a firewall, a site that stopped answering, a crawl nobody ever ran. You do not have to ask. What is not refunded is a report that was delivered: once findings exist and you can read them, the work is done. This is enforced by the database rather than by a policy somebody applies by hand.
Included re-verifications
A paid audit includes 10 re-runs over the same URLs, within 90 days of that audit, and none of them touches your balance. The address is copied from the original run and cannot be changed, because a free run you could aim would be a free audit of anything. A re-run whose crawl failed produced no report and does not use one up.
Domains and limits
An account may hold up to 25 domains. The free check is limited per visitor so it cannot be used as an anonymous crawler against somebody else. These limits are enforced in the database, not only in the interface.
Payment and subscriptions
Card payments are handled by our payment processor; we never see or store your card details. The one-off audit is a single charge. The agency plan renews monthly until you cancel, and each successful payment grants that month's credits. Cancel at any time — you keep the credits already granted.
Availability
There is no contractual service level. We answer support within one business day and usually much sooner, and we would rather say that plainly than publish an uptime number we cannot yet guarantee. If an audit you paid for does not run, the refund above is the remedy.
When we are wrong
Every finding is labelled as either a documented requirement or our own judgement, and every one can be contested from the report. A rule that turns out to be wrong is deprecated with an explicit reason, and reports that relied on it are flagged rather than quietly left standing. Corrections are part of the method.
Your data and ours
What we collect about your site stays yours; how we collect and judge it stays ours. You may export or delete everything we hold about your account at any time — see the privacy policy. You may not resell the service itself or use it to build a competing catalogue of rules.
Liability
A finding is information, not advice, and acting on it is your decision. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before it arose. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Ending it
You can close your account at any time, which deletes your data as described in the privacy policy. We can close an account that uses the service to crawl sites it has no right to crawl, or to attack a third party. Unused credits are refunded to the original payment method when we close an account for any other reason.
Changes
If we change these terms in a way that affects what you have already paid for, we will say so by email before it takes effect. The date at the top moves only when a clause changes.
Law
These terms are governed by TO BE DECLARED BEFORE LAUNCH, and any dispute is heard by TO BE DECLARED BEFORE LAUNCH.
